This page had been originally created in order for Swaylocks members ( and other interested parties) to pool their donations toward the freighting of a wooden surfboard to Hawaii, as discussed on the thread " A letter to bill Barnfield" .This thread however, has since been deleted, and our account has been suspended (!). We suspect that some big honcho's in the american surfing industry were feeling threatened by our challenge, seeing that the design of the board is so good, much better than their current silly designs which they are marketing, anyway foul play ensued.
Below are the comments from the said thread, as you can see, plenty of people were very keen on the idea .
Meanwhile an excellent Blog has been created by Phoam at surf.co.nz , which follows the journey (olo hikoi) of this board. There are contact phone numbers, maps, photos by various photographers plus all the youtube videos about the creation of this board.
All contributors will receive a receipt from Power Surfboards for their contribution
All money will be held until the boards are ready to be shipped, and used only for freighting the boards to Hawaii this will be sometime next year as New Zealanders are enjoying the board right now, hawaiians better be patient! The board will be a legend when it arrives in Hawaii.
Up until the date of shipping, all contributors have the right to have their money refunded at any time
